Feature status: Image generation, qualified video generation, Ask Midways and the manual editor are launching with V1. Advanced assisted editing and reference tools remain in development or future concepts. Check each product page for scope.

The principle is short: edit freely, and use credits when AI does the work. Ordinary editing doesn't spend AI credits; credits are for AI compute like generating an image or a video.

What doesn't spend credits

Manual, deterministic editing: trimming, arranging clips, adding text and captions, and mixing audio. This is the everyday work of finishing a video, and it doesn't draw down AI credits.

What uses credits

AI compute — for example, generating an image or a video. Different AI operations use different amounts, because they cost different amounts to run. A quick image uses a little; a longer, higher-quality video uses more.

One credit, one currency

Credit charges and purchase terms will be published after approval.

Why separate the two?

Because they're different kinds of work. Rewarding careful editing shouldn't cost the same as running a model. Keeping manual editing free of AI credits means you can refine as much as you like and spend credits only when AI is genuinely doing labor for you.

In short

Edit as much as you want; spend credits when AI creates. See the approach on the pricing page.
