Import or project save fails
- For visual import, check the file is PNG, JPEG, WebP, MP4 or WebM and that the browser can decode it. For audio, use Soundtrack → Audio sources rather than the visual Add chooser.
- Save cloud project requires sign-in and cloud project access. A read-only review link cannot save. If upload is still running, wait for the version confirmation. If autosave fails, export a copy before closing.
- A restored version needs a new save to become the current cloud head. Unsaved local changes can make Ask evidence stale.
A timeline command does nothing
- Select the intended clip, put the playhead inside it for split or playhead trims, and check layer locks. A split needs material on both sides.
- A roll edit needs neighboring clips touching at the edit point. Slip needs source handles. If the editor refuses a move, inspect duration and one-hour timeline limits.
- Use Undo after an unexpected ripple placement or delete, then inspect Toggle ripple delete and the destination layer before trying again.
Create cannot start or a job seems stuck
- Sign in, check whether the mode is enabled and whether Model & output shows an available model. A quote must be available before a paid submission. Public generation access is Soon.
- If a submission reports uncertainty, use Check job status or Retry original submission, which reuses the original request ID. Do not start another request just to see if the first succeeded.
- Visual references and combined multi-shot generation are Soon; use text-only creation and assemble storyboard scenes manually when those paths become available.
Captions or export are blocked
- For Generate captions, check valid media and working sequence audio. If transcription is unavailable, add manual cues or import subtitle text.
- Review every translated second line before export. A valid render plan is also required. Check the chosen format and output settings, then retry Render & export. Large 4K projects may take longer.
Ask has no answer
Save the project, refresh the evidence for the saved version, and ask a narrower question about actual media or reviewed captions. A refusal or abstention means the current evidence did not support a confident answer. Check the Q&A cost note and account capability separately from local direct edits.
Is Soon the same as an error?
No. Soon means the public feature is pending release or acceptance. An error within an enabled feature should be interpreted using the specific status message in Studio.
Can I close the browser while an export is running?
Save the cloud project first. A background export queue may retain eligible jobs, but keep the project and output status until you have downloaded the finished file.
